WHAT IS THIS AGREEMENT?
This Initial Consultation Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions of the initial consultation session between STM Immigration Consulting Inc. (represented by the “RCIC”), and the undersigned prospective Client(s) (the “Client”):
Purpose
The initial consultation enables the RCIC to (a) learn about you and your immigration needs; (b) answer your questions to the best of our ability; to identify your options, and to the extent possible, examine the costs and benefits of those alternatives; (d) help you determine your course of action; (e) discuss our fees and terms of service if retained; and (f) determine the appropriate next steps.
Confidentiality
All information and documents you provide to us at the initial consultation shall remain confidential, except otherwise authorized by you or as provided under the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Code of Professional Ethics.
Retainer Agreement
A detailed Retainer Agreement will be prepared and executed by both parties should you retain us after the initial consultation. The Retainer Agreement will supersede this Initial Consultation Agreement. It will set forth the terms and conditions of our representation, including our fees, the specific services to be provided by us, and your obligations.
Initial Consultation Fees
The Client is obliged to pay $100 + 13% HST for each 30 minutes of initial consultation. If the initial consultation lasts for an hour, the fee payable is $200 + 13% HST. Clients located outside of Canada are not required to pay HST.
The initial consultation fee must be paid upon signing this Initial Consultation Agreement and before the commencement of the consultation. The fee can be e-transferred using info@stmimmigration.com or paid directly into our bank account number.
